BRICK After several years, face brick may require “tuck-pointing”, (repairing the mortar between the bricks). Your brick may also effloresce, or show white patches due to salt rising to the surface of the brick. This condition can usually be controlled by using water and a scrub brush. If this condition continues, Piazza Construction, Inc. recommends that you contact a professional for cleaning with an acid wash.
